Terms and Conditions
Nothing in this agreement affects your statutory rights.
All descriptions and weights are those of the original manufacture and are intended to give a general description of the goods. The weight to be shipped includes the weight of packaging for the goods.
We do not hold stock, to ensure the longest shelf life of product for our customers.
In the event a brand / quantity combination being unavailable or discontinued, we will act according to the information supplied by the customer.
a) If an item is not available in the requested weight and the customer has requested we supply a different weight combination, then we will attempt to supply a larger quantity of the same item type but in smaller weights, the total weight will either equal or exceed the original amount requested, or an appropriate refund will be given.
b) If an item is not available in the requested brand, and the customer has requested we supply a different brand, we will supply an alternative brand of the same or greater value, or an appropriate refund will be given.
c) If a customer has requested we delay dispatch until a brand or weight is available, we will hold onto the order for up to a maximum of 30 days, at which point we will contact the customer for further instructions.
d) Maximum package weight is 30kg
Delivery times are based on our couriers and are approximate. It is your responsibility to ensure someone is available to accept delivery.
All payments shall be made in the currencies displayed on the website at the time of purchase. Please note that Great British Tastes cannot be held responsible for adverse currency fluctuations. The conversion rate is set at the point of authorisation of your credit/debit card.
The customer is responsible for all import duties and taxes, which may be levied once the package reaches the customer's country of residence. If the customer is unsure of the relevant import duty and tax rates, they should contact their local customs office for further information. Great British Tastes cannot be held responsible for the actions of any Customs Departments who choose to open and interfere with any package.
The customer is responsible for ensuring that there are no restrictions for any product ordered.
We may change any part of the website including the terms and conditions, at any time and without prior notice at our sole discretion. By placing an order on the website, you indicate acceptance of these changes and terms and conditions
Product weights are determined by a volumetric calculation. That is (Length x Width x Height in centimeters) / 6000 = Volumetric Weight in kilograms. For lighter goods such as crisps or cereals this can somtimes exceed the real weight of the item.
Returns
If you are not satisfied by the products supplied, contact us upon receipt with the reason why and we shall endeavour to remedy this. 'Upon receipt' shall be deemed to be within 24 hours of taking possession from the carrier, after this time we shall consider the order satisfied.
If you chose to return the package, you must first contact us within 24 hours of receiving your package and to obtain a returns number - then return the box with the contents in the same condition that they arrived. The cost of returning the package shall be the responsibility of the buyer and not Great British Tastes. A refund of the order shall be given once the order has been returned and checked by us. You should ensure that the packaging used to return the goods is such that no damage shall occur to the goods whilst in transit.
Should any item arrive damaged please contact us within 24 hours. Where possible please take photographic evidence and email to us. We shall either refund the monies paid for the item or in the case where we decide to claim from our courier, a full refund of the item will be given once we have successfully received compensation from the courier.
Your statutory rights are in no way affected by these Terms & Conditions.
